Photos Raw Files

Can I take RAW files from Photos after editing and transfer them to the desktop and have them remain in the RAW format.? If so, how? They seem to export without the editing. I have used Preview to edit (not very good) but even then I have to turn them into TIFF files to edit them.....any suggestions? Thank you.

Your raw files are originals and cannot be saved with edits. You can only export edited files as one of the supported file types like JPEGS or TIFFs.

You *might* be able to do this in the raw editing software for your camera, like Digital Photo Professional for Canon.
