Power Button/Lock Screen Button stopped working

I just upgraded my iPhone 6SE to the latest IOS of 12.3.1 and now I have observed that my phones lock button or the power button is completely unresponsive. For now I have turned on assistive touch so I can still operate my phone but I have tried rebooting, re-installing the firmware and just about everything I can think of. I am not a fan of the option to just upgrade as I like my smaller phone and don't see a reason that this should break. Any input if this is known and being fixed? I am a software engineer and familiar with bug troubleshooting processes and just want to make sure its being addressed at least or tested by apples SQA (Software Quality Assurance) team. Please if anyone else has experienced this add your comments. Thanks.
