Deleting a bookmark in Safari

I am not able to delete any bookmark in Safari. I hold CTRL, click on the bookmark (right or left) and I get taken to the web site. Help!

In Safari on the Mac you can press OPTION-COMMAND-B (⌥⌘B) to bring up Edit Bookmarks page.

Then, click to highlight bookmark. To remove the saved bookmark you can either:

  • right-click / control-click / two-finger tap and select Delete option
  • or press delete (⌫) key
  • or press forward delete (⌦) key
