Macbook Pro Retina Early 2015 Suddenly Slow after battery died.

Hi,

The other day, I let my Macbook pro go dead by accident. I charged it up the next day and now it is so slow and laggy. Its horrible. Any advice on how to fix this or why the battery dying made it so slow? I'm seeing a 64 ish % System CPU load. Is that normal?

I have plenty of memory on here.

Currently have OS yosemite. Showing no updates available.

Any tips appreciated!

Try an SMC reset and PRAM reset (hold the PRAM reset for a full minute so it activates several times).

You may want to boot into Recovery Mode and run Disk Utility First Aid.
