Logic Pro X 10.4.5

I recently had Logic Pro 10.4.4 open when the update to 10.4.5 started I did not see a "close program" and was not paying attention, as I was busy with something else at the time.

The update started. I then noticed the open Logic 10.4.4 and closed it.

When the update was complete I tried opening the new Logic to continue with my project.

All i got was the flash screen and then it crashed. It will not run. I called Apple and have a case number

Case 100836247567. We tried everything, re-loading it binning it restarting but nothing works it just crashes. I then went to a backup a few days earlier while Apple said they would sort this out and revert to me. They have not sorted this out and what happened yesterday is I had two copies of Logic Pro X in applications 10.4.4 that was working and 10.4.5 that was not. I decided to stick with 10.4.4 and bin 10.4.5.

I believe I deleted the correct application 10.4.5 but now 10.4.5 is back and all my work in the ether.

I have trawled the internet for a fix without success. I need help and ideas of what to do.

Follow this procedure exactly, the reboot is important as is the ~.

-Delete user preferences

To delete the user preferences, do the following:

  1. Quit Logic Pro X.
  2. In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder.
  3. Enter ~/Library/Preferences, then click Go. (Note: exactly as written) ~/Library/Preferences
  4. Remove the "com.apple.logic10.plist" file from the Preferences folder.
  5. If you upgraded from an earlier version of Logic Pro, also remove the "com.apple.logic.pro" file. It is also advisable to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file.
  6. Restart your Mac.

All of the prefs will be rebuilt to defaults next tme Logic is opened.
