I have a new MacBook Pro. For days I have been receiving messages from Mac Cleanup Pro, saying I have all kinds of issues. I believe this is a scam but I don't know w to get rid of it. I don't think I've clicked on anything because I didn't believe it.

You can try booting in safe mode.

You can try running MalwareBytes to find and remove malware.

Thank you, Bob. I did restart in Safe Mode, seemed okay, then restarted in regular mode. The icon was still there in my dock, so I deleted the icon then found the actual app and deleted it. Now it seems fine. I should probably have tried that sooner but I didn't want to take a chance and mess up my new Mac. You were very helpful, and now I know about SafeMode!!
