How to exit a game I downloaded

Wow, ive never seen that. Just press the home button (for equipped devices) or swipe up (iPhone X and newer), or perform a hard reset. Just follow the information here:

Further from what TurtleGlo mentioned, if the phone is turned to Landscape mode, you will need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen (actually the side of the phone) as it is in the landscape mode. Some games require a swipe up to activate the "home button" bar then an additional swipe up to return to home screen.
