Won’t charge

I’m using the same charger I’ve been using for years on my iPad and it says not charging. I plugged the charger into my iPhone and it charges perfectly. What’s going on?

If after going through all these Apple Support suggestions, nothing works, it will be time to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options. The battery could have failed.
