how do I transfer files from microsoft word for mac to my desktop or photos

Well I saved them in word for mac, but I want to share my creations online. So I'm trying to find a way to get them in the drop down box to choose from when you ask to share something. You will have to excuse me because sometimes I can't see my hand in front of my face so to speak. Love Macs and will never return to PC : ) .

But now when I try and share, my word document is greyed out. Have I got to convert it to something or what. Why can't software engineers make thing more easily compatible. Old people are creative too. Are you still there Kiltman or has your patience worn too thin : ) .

Sorry just solved it haha, always looking for complications when should have followed the simpler part of my brain. Thank you for replying though anyway my friend : ) .
