I'm trying to delete my account and info off my defective iPad so I can exchange it. I can't sign out of my apple ID which has my icloud.com address because I forgot the password. My rescue email is my gmail account so when I go to "forgot my password" it changes the password associated with my gmail.com account not my icloud account so I still don't have the password for the correct account to be able to sign off. "Devices" listed on my gmail account doesn't include the ipad I need.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated as I feel like I'm going in circles.
