My Right AirPod does not work

My Right AirPod does not work. I’ve tried resetting it and it doesn’t work. So it says when you reset your AirPods you need both in the case and if I put my right one in it doesn’t show it could be connected but when I put my left one in by itself with out the right on in it shows it can be connected. If I try to see the charge it doesn’t pop up. If I put my right AirPod in the case the light starts blinking.
