How to get back my pictures from my previous iPhone 5s

I got 2 iPhone which is iPhone X and iPhone 5s. I have backup both on iCloud and I send my iPhone X to fix. Meanwhile, I restores iPhone X backup to my iPhone 5s for work. Once I get back my iPhone X, I can't seems to get back my previous iPhone 5s pictures. What should I do? Is it possible to get it back?

If you were syncing photos to iCloud, have you gone to Settings/Your Name/iCloud, signed in with the same Apple ID, and turned Photos syncing on? If it is on, try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then slide syncing on. Allow time for syncing to occur.

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?

If you weren't syncing photos with iCloud, have you restored from a backup? Restoring from a backup erases all data currently on your device. Any data newer than when the backup was made will be erased. A restore is an all or nothing restore.
