iphone doesnt recognise my headphones

i have a problem on my iphone 7 where whenever i connect my lightning to headphone adapter and connect my headphones the phone doesnt recognize them and plays music from the speakers even though when i charge my phone theres no problem and i have no issue with voice memos or siri or anything thats a symptom of having an audio ic so is it still an audio ic problem? or is it something else.

Hello,


Check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:


If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If no help, try this:


1) Open the Control Center

2) 3D press (or long press) on the music controls

3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)

4) Select headphones
