Editing sound files in the sound file-editor

I can't use "functions" in the sound file editor,

I do have advanced tools enabled

How can I make this possible?

If a region is flexed, the functions are unavailable. Boune the region in place, turn off flex, and then give it a try. Also may be an issue in take folders.

How do I remove the sound track from a .mov or .m4v? I created a slideshow in Photos with added soundtrack. I would like to move the soundtrack from the .mov and .m4v I exported Desktop (Quicktime). How can a remove the sound but keep the images in the slideshow?

Keynote help Where does keynote store sound files used in presentations? There's an MP3 in one of my presentations that I want to edit but I can't find the actual file.

Thanks for your reply.

It appeared to be something else but your reaction put me on a trail.

I had to convert the file into sample rate settings of the project (actually I expected a warning for that).
