iPhone/iPad back up

I have just purchased a new MacBook Pro which I intend to be the hub of my tech needs. I have successfully backed up and updated 2 iPhones but when I connect my iPad Pro iTunes only offers the options of treating it as a new iPad or restoring it using one of the iPhone backups

Setup as a new device. This allows iTunes access to backup without changing any content. That would come later if you set up syncing.
