If Using the Correct Password is Not Going Through... Then, Two Thoughts:

• Use an External Keyboard: First shut down the Mac > plug in the external keyboard > try this login once more.

or...

• Reset: your SMC along with your NVRAM

Elsewise, if neither is of success, then Reinstall Mojave, from a:)

• Time Machine Backup

or...

• Bootable Installer
