I bought a iPad from a garage sale and it has the activation lock on it. And it was with my mom going garage sale hunting so I don’t remember where it was and I don’t have a number to contact them what do I do?

The iPad is locked with Activation Lock. There is no way around unlocking Activation Lock without inserting the device’s associated Apple ID. Apple cannot unlock Activation Lock. I’m afraid this device is useless to you.

Unless you're able to contact the person who placed the lock or the iPad's original owner, you won't be able to use it. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure.
