Since upgrading to IOS 12.4.1 both iPad and iPhone 7 say accessory not supported when I try to use my Apple headphones with the lightening converter I got when I bought them. This is Apple kit. What is going on? Help?!!!

Get the adapter replaced.
It is the one I received with the phone, from Apple. How can that be a problem?
I got another connector and it works. It was still under warranty as well, so all is well. Thank you!
