Renaming Bluetooth Devices.
Why can’t i rename Bluetooth devices?
Why is apple so stingy?

Note: For Non-Apple Devices: Contact the manufacturer. See what they have to say for how to go about rename their devices.

You're not renaming the devices on android. You're just changing the label displayed for it on the phone for that device.
There is a difference. When you change the name of a bluetooth device on an iPhone, it actually changes the name being broadcast by the device itself.
Hello xXJTXx,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you want to rename your Bluetooth devices on your iPhone. Have you tried the steps in the following support article to rename your devices?
Change the name of a Bluetooth accessory - Apple Support
If you have tried these steps and are unable to rename the accessory, please get back with us and provide more information about what happens when you try to rename the accessory.
Best regards.
Then provide feedback to Apple directly. There's nothing we users can do about this for you. No one here works for Apple. Either call Apple, or use the contact Apple Support at the top of this page or schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar.
You can also provide feedback to Apple via this link: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
If this was something anyone here could change for you, we'd certainly help. But we can't change anything.
What you just said is bunk. I have successfully renamed a number of Bluetooth devices on my iPhone and iPad. But not ALL Bluetooth devices permit renaming. That is not Apple. That is the manufacturer of the device.
What help is it you're looking for? I can rename some, but not all Bluetooth devices. If the device you want to rename can't be renamed, there's literally nothing anyone here can do for you. Period.
Not all devices can be renamed.
That is a function of the device itself, NOT the phone.
Go complain to whoever made the device.
That’s a load of jack.
I have numbered each truck in my Samsung’s.
Apple don’t allow it.
The “Name” option does not show up when I try that.
Even for my air pods which I originally renamed when first connecting them.
Mate, don’t tell me what is bullshit and what is not.
Im not new to this.
If you can’t help, keep scrolling champ.
Well, I find it poor, that I can rename the devices on an android phone and not on iPhone. That’s my issue. Full stop.
So no option to change the label on iPhone then?
No. That's not an option on the iPhone.
