Running Mojave 10.14.6 and Safari 13.1 - Last night, changed a password on Google. When I open up my accounts, prompts me to re-enter password to take account online, and when I click to allow for authentication in Safari, locks up. Safari will open, just not take me to the google site that I need to enter new password.
Did you restart your Mac after you updated to Safari 13.0.1? If not, do so now.

And now I feel - well - useless. I thought I did, seems as though I did not. That took care of the problem.
