No “Slide to Type” option on iPad

Running iPadOS 13.1 on my iPad 2017 but there is no Slide to Type selector available in the keyboard settings. Is this not a feature on my iPad model? Have not found any footnotes in the info on Apple’s websites about iPadOS 13.

Thanks in advance

The slide to type keyboard feature is part of the iPadOS small, floating mini keyboard that you can locate anywhere on the iPad's screen.

To turn the large, onscreen keyboard into the small, mini slide keyboard, bring up the large onboard screen keyboard and do a two finger pinch inward on the large onscreen keyboard.

Two finger pinch outward to re-expand the onscreen keyboard back to its original size.
