Even if you can't export a master file directly to the flash drive, which you should be able to do, you can also export to the desktop and copy the file to the flash drive, unless there's problem with the way it's formatted. But you were able to copy off the drive onto the Mac and work with the media in FCP, so I should it would work.

Thanks but let me try and be more precise. The video recorded on a small disc from which I downloaded the info into FCP. That small disc would fit into the computer but I can't see from FCP an option to copy the movie to a disc. DVD, Master file, various apple options etc but nothing els
Thanks for your reply it was helpful
You can export a copy that will work on most TVs. Not sure what a scan disk is, like a flash drive? Then yes. What you export to depends on the exact specifications required by your TV.
If this is a disc like a small DVD, then the file has to be burned onto the disc. That can be done using the Finder, if you have a burner for the small disc.
Poor terminology on my part I suppose I am thinking of a flash drive
Thanks for your help, went to flash drive via desktop
