Safari does not return the desktop website for yahoo mail (AT&T). Per settings that should be the default but it’s not working, and there is no longer a way to force the request (long press on refresh/reload).

It sounds like you’re having an issue with viewing the desktop website for Yahoo on your iPad. First, Check out this article to Browse the web using Safari on iPad. To view the desktop website, you’ll need to follow the steps in the section to Change text size, display, and website settings.
If you continue having issues viewing the desktop website, check out this article to Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. I also recommend checking out this article with steps for How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and quit Safari. Once it’s closed, Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and test to see if the issues are still going on.

Still getting only the mobile website. It may be Yahoo at fault. If you can send me the user agent string that Safari on iPadOS 13.1.2 is sending I will pursue it with Yahoo.
