Reminders updated?

Has any one found an app to replace Apple reminders? I’ve heard that for devices older that iOS 13 reminders will eventually go away. My iPhone 6 is stuck at 12.4.2 and will no longer sync with my iPad Air 2 on 13.1.2. I would prefer to have one app that works on both devices.

Unless Apple decides to remove Reminders from their iCloud offerings, Reminders should still be around for previous iOS versions.

For users who upgrade to iOS 13, there is a warning in Reminders as soon as that app is opened to tell users Reminders will not sync with older iOS versions and macOS versions IF you upgrade Reminders in iOS 13. If you simply choose Upgrade Later then it will still sync with older os versions.

Upgraded reminders aren't compatible with earlier versions of iOS and macOS. If you upgrade your reminders on your iPhone with iOS 13, your iPad and Mac using the same iCloud account can’t access your reminders until iPadOS and macOS 10.15 Catalina are available.

Same warning appears in macOS Catalina. Choosing Upgrade Later allows me to keep syncing with older macOS and iOS versions.
