Need to know how to have my mail icon on home screen to show number of unread emails

Have you tried a "forced restart" of your iPhone?:--> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
I have done that but when I open my phone it doesn’t work. I have badge, banner, and the other one all enabled.
No but I will. Then I will take it to the Apple Store.
