Apple ID hack

Hi my sons Apple ID has been hacked and everywhere we look up it says to change his password, but it won’t let us change the password.

anyone know what to do??

You need to report the compromised Apple ID to Apple asap. If he cannot change the password. that would suggest that the other person has already done that.
