It doesn't have enough RAM to run iOS 13. Nobody on these boards can say if there's going to be future updates to iOS 12.

iOS 13 is not supported by the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. This phone is too old, incapable and doesn't have enough RAM for iOS 13.
iOS 13 is supported by the 6s / SE and newer.
