how do i get the photos off of iPhoto if i can't open it.

i upgraded the software on my MacBook and now i can't access photos from iPhoto. i have pictures on there that are not on "Photos" app that apple wants you to use now. How do i get those pictures?

Do you have more than one iPhoto Libraries?

Then launch Photos while holding down the options key ⌥ and double-clicking the Photos.app.

Keep holding down the options key, until the library chooser dialog appears, then release the key.

Now look at the list of libraries and click one of them to open it in Photos. If there is more than one library, try them all in turn to look for the missing photos.
