Phone theft. I want to block my apple ID, and before that, see the geolocation of a stolen phone.

Hello! On the night of 10 to 11, my phone was stolen. The police could not help me in any way, and I could not even use the iPhone search application on my friends' phones, because there was double authentication, and I could not log into my apple ID without a lost device.

Now I bought a new phone and created a new apple ID, I am writing to you from it.

It was Iphone X.

Did you enable Find My?

  1. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple ...
  2. Find the serial number or IMEI on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod ... You cannot track using iMEI number. but you may need it so keep it handy

If you didn't turn on Find My [device] before your device was lost or stolen, it can't be used to locate your device. Change your Apple ID password. Change the passwords for other internet accounts on your device. This can include email accounts, Facebook, or Twitter etc...

Don'ts

If you remove the device from your account after you erase it, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use your device.

You can track an iPhone by going to https://icloud.com/find and an authentication code will not be required. You can do that, then put the phone in lost mode and either lock it permanently or erase it. As long as you never remove it from your Apple ID account it can never be used.

And you can then use the same Apple ID on a new phone. By creating a new Apple ID it means that you will have to repurchase all of your apps and music.
