Bluetooth keyboard and mouse trouble

Ipad 10.5 iOS 13.2.2 -I can get a Bluetooth keyboard to work. I can get a Bluetooth mouse to work. But when combined, the keyboard right side alpha characters produce mouse movements, not characters. I have tried everything I can think of. Is there a trick I am missing? I understand that wireless combos work if I use a dongle but, I want Bluetooth?

Hello,

This is due to you enabling the feature Mouse Keys in AssistiveTouch. As it states, this feature should only be used if you intend to move the pointer cursor with certain keys on a keyboard instead of a physical mouse.
