How do I change my iCloud email? It is not my Apple ID!

No the I could address is not my Apple ID, it is a yahoo. Com address which is my official Apple ID, from the start. I cloud address is just a non connection spare address! When I sign into my Apple account I sign in dwith the yahoo.com address, it is the only one recognize by Apple.
Any suggestions, since the iCloud address is not my official ID?
Clarification question - when you sign into your Yahoo Apple ID, does the iCloud address show under Reachable At? If it doesn't, then that address is a separate Apple ID, and the address before the @iCloud.com can't be changed.
