Is it possible to move an existing Time Machine backup to a new drive and continue to use it? Current drive is short on space. Tx

Use a cloning app like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to clone your current TM derive to the new drive.
If the backup drive is getting full, Time Machine deletes old backups automatically
That's what I want to avoid going forward. I'd like to move the entire backup file without interrupting the process going forward, retaining the earlier backups.
