Apple Username Problem

I recently purchased a used Macbook Pro that had bean cleaned. It would only allow me to sign in using the username "New User" already in memory. This is NOT the username I use for all my other Apple devices. How do I change the username on just this Macbook Pro to match the the one I've always used on all my other Apple devices?

If there is already a username on the MacBook Pro when you got it it was not 'cleaned' properly. These are the instructions that should have been followed when the previous owner sold it to you:
