When asked for serial number I enter it but it does not accept it

I am trying to get Apple Support But when asked for serial number I enter it but it does not Accept it . It replies "SERIAL NUMBER IS FOR AS DIFFERENT PRODUCT"

If it is still wrong, you can visit an Apple Store to sort it out. The problem is not unique to you by any means.
