Live Photos

If my iPad Air can record videos why can’t it take Live Photo’s.

Which iPad Air do you have? I assume it is the 1st generation from late 2013, as this iPad Air cannot support anything past iOS 12.4.4. (Your signature says you have an iPad Air on iOS 12).

Now, Live Photos is a feature introduced with the iPhone 6s / SE in late 2015, so models older than that cannot support that feature as it's exclusive to newer devices.

iPads introduced in 2016 or newer can support Live Photos.
