UPGRADING OFFICE 365 ON CATALINA TO SOLVE THE 32-BIT PROBLEM

Would upgrading from 32-bit version of Office 365 Home to 64-bit version allow me to open/use my Office Open XML word processing documents on my MacPro 11,3 laptop (mid-2014)? I recently upgraded to MacOs 10.15.2 (Catalina 15.2), which was probably a mistake. Thanks.

Thanks to razmee209 and Soren Pearson for their prompt replies. I already have a subscription for Office 365 Home. So, intend to upgrade to the 64-bit version. Hope this works. Cheers. Kirk

PS: By the way, on Catalina, when I double-click on my docs, they are compressed. This then requires unzipping them. Strange. Any insights on this? Thanks.
