I was trying to find my phone, so I logged into icloud.com, but it sent a verification code to the phone, but I do not have the phone. Is there a way around the verification code so that I can get into icloud to use find my phone?

Use any computer internet browser and log into www.icloud.com/find
Note the "/find" in the above. That will allow you to log in with just a password and will not require a two-factor code.
