Every time I go to my email and click on a link in the email, I’m not being taken to the webpage in safari to view it, this side thing pops up. How do I get rid of it?
This is in my iCloud mail and gmail.
It seemed to have started today when I was playing around with my new Apple Pencil. I was dragging the pencil across the screen and one of these popped up.

I can’t manage getting apps to add to slide over. It says touch and hold the one you want to add but when I do that I just get the jiggly x’s. I’ve done it before but now I can’t!

Ok you can’t do it from the home screen. I can once I tried again with an app open. When I did it before, I did it from the home screen.
