I don’t understand why when I get a call or txt on my iPhone my Apple Watch is not notifying me ?

When you get the notification on your iPhone it means that the phone is unlocked.

Notifications will only go to your watch when the phone is locked.

But I’m not receiving them when phone is locked either

It’s connected and notifications are set up. I’ve only had it a week
