Can someone tell me how to add a folder and remove a folder from the favorites column in finder? Also, if you just delete it (somehow) from there, does it delete the actual folder or is it like and alias? Thanks....

Control click on the item you want to remove, and press delete, it removes it from the sidebar but not you mac.
