How do you block spam messages in Messages?

It is done the same way as blocking calls and messages from others, unless the spammer is spoofing a number, which is generally what they are doing. Rather difficult to do when that is occurring. Although you can go to Settings>Messages>Filter Unknown Senders and turn that on. There is a short explanation of that feature directly below the setting on the iPhone.
