My son's new iPhone 8 arrived last week. He moved data over to it from his old one but did not yet port the number over. Apparently it did not have the Find my iPhone setting on, even though his old one did. So we think it is somewhere at home but are not entirely sure, and don't know if there's anything else we can do to even mark it as Lost, since the power and Find my phone are not on. I'm beside myself since the phone is brand new.... any help is appreciated.

You cannot locate it via Find My. If you activated the iPhone with a SIM and a new number you can call it.

Thanks. It has a temporary number, but not the new SIM yet, and it is not ringing because the charge is probably out on it.
Then you will have to look the old fashioned way.
