I cannot figure out how to type a document on my Mac ? I was use to Microsoft Word, where do I find the application to perform that on a Mac?

You may acquire Microsoft Word for the Mac.

Personally, I prefer Apple’s Pages application. Both should be available at the App Store.

Pages can import from and export to Word.
