Hi Aslam,

Im sorry to hear that it didn't solve your issue. Have you tried resetting the SMC (System Management Controller)? Follow this guide on how to do that: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

If that doesn't work, then you can also try to reset the PRAM and NVRAM by following this guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

I hope that that solves the issue!

I am not sure if this would help, but you can try to restart the "TouchBarServer":

  1. Open the activity monitor (cmd space and type activity monitor)
  2. Go to the "Disk" Tab and find the "TouchBarServer" process
  3. Select it and press the little stop sign with the cross in the top left.

Alternatively, you can kill the processes in the terminal with the following commands:

  1. Open the terminal, (cmd space, and type terminal).
  2. type the following and press enter: sudo pkill TouchBarServer
  3. Type in your password to give permission to kill the TouchBarServer.

I hope this helps!

I bought a new MacBook Pro 2019 16" 3 1/2 weeks ago and have been having the same issue. Several calls with Apple Support to reinstall OS files, killed services, and did the resets described above did not work. No luck. Took to an Apple Store where their diagnostic tools pointed to an issue with the Touch Bar. They sent it off for repair, I received it back with a repair summary stating that a "Top Case with Batter, ANSI, Space Gray" (part # 605-05418) had been replaced. Though it said that it passed all hardware testing, I received the laptop back two days ago and have the same issue. Since I migrated from another MacBook Pro and have no issues with the Touch Bar on that device, I am assuming that it is either hardware (I'm taking it back to the Apple Store tomorrow) or Catalina. If anyone comes up with anything else, that would be great to know.
