How to add music from Macbook to iPod nano 7th generation

My MacOs version is Catalina and I couldn't add music by choosing "add to device" anymore. If I add it by Finder, I was requested to sync my iPod and my old song inside will be deleted.

Anyway to add music from Apple Music? I had bought those songs.

Thank you.

Updating will not change that.

Syncing is one way only. Computer to device. Anything not in the music library on the computer will be deleted from the iPod.

Your only real option, is to extract your music from the iPod, and import it into the Music App in Catalina that way syncing will not delete anything from your iPod.
