Can't log in to iCloud

Hi everyone. I can't log into iCloud Drive on my iMac after having logged out! Help!

I noticed that iCloud on the iMac wasn't syncing with iCloud Drive. So I logged out on my iMac and attempted to log back in via the log in window (ie, System Preferences>iCloud). Now I can't log in. The password is correct (if I put in the wrong password it tells me) and user name is correct, however when I click on the Next button, it thinks about it...and then goes back to the Apple ID log in window.

iMac, macOS 10.13

Have you tried quitting System Preferences, then reopening, and trying again? Have you tried a restart?

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply. Pastebin. https://pastebin.com/

Thanks for your help! So quitting System Preferences didn't work, and I had tried restarting numerous times. I am also running anti-virus software Norton, however I don't think it was interfering. However, I did set up another administrative user and that worked perfectly. I'm all signed in and everything is back to how it should be. Thanks mate!
