Verification failed

I’m trying to reset my old device and it keeps saying failed. Very aggravating, correct username and password. But refuses to let me through

You need another trusted device or telephone number.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.


Try a restart.

Try a forced restart.

If necessary


Hard reset. https://www.wikihow.com/Hard-Reset-an-iPhone


Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
