Saving Passwords

in the last year my phone has stopped asking me to save new passwords . In order for me to save them I have to use my iPad to log in then I can save that way and next time I log in with my phone it will remember my email / password.

Why would my phone have stopped doing this? I have auto fill turned on.

Its really frustrating & time consuming & I can’t figure out why it’s happening.

Any suggestions please?

oh just to add it seems to give me the option to save log in details if I’m using an app! But not safari!!

If you want to sync iCloud Keychain with other devices

Make sure that your new device has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, and the latest version of macOS. Then, make sure that your device is on a Wi-Fi or cellular network. If the connection appears strong, turn on iCloud Keychain on the devices you want sync with.

If you want to view the passwords stored in iCloud Keychain

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 12 or later:

  1. Tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Website & App Passwords.
  2. Use Face ID or Touch ID when you're prompted.
  3. Tap a website to view your password.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11:
