OS X Catalina
The songs loading is extremely slow. The internet connection is working fine, everything else that requires internet is working.

After a ton of troubleshooting, I was able to figure out what my problem was. As has been reported in other threads, iTunes and now Music sometime duplicate your playlists (without you doing anything). I had a folder for my "Smart" playlists. When I opened that folder to check, it had duplicated my dozen or so smart playlists into about 300 smart playlists. When I deleted this Smart Playlist folder, all of the performance problems went away!!!!!

what did you do with it? Delete it?
My Music APP used to take only 1 second to open. Now its stuck on "Loading Music Library". Any Tips or Tricks to help with this?
Next Tuesday Big Sur's release date (I suppose) will be announced with a complete revamped Music App. Let's hope this solves the problems.
Sorry to disappoint, but I have MacOS Big Sur Beta 9 running on my Mid 2015 15" retina and it is still the same....

I started with Spotify a while ago and never looked back. It's funny, because it's basically the usable version of iTunes from way back.
I have the same problem my list of playlist is so long now it’s just stupid. I’ve got at least 30 copies of playlists
Apple basically took iTunes (which I quite liked) and made it worse. Don't even get me on sound issues with using HomePod from Mac. I give up.
Having the same issue on the more recent MBP's, everything else is just fine, except Apple Music. Spotify is so much faster than this. It's a love hate relationship with Apple for me.
