I Can't Erase Macintosh HD Data on Disk Utility

I just got a new second macbook air 2019. I have experience issues in transferring the information from the old mac to the new one using the migration assistant. Also I can't erase the macintosh HD data on disk utility. i dont know what to do...

Hi Sberman. Thanks. I have followed the recommended instruction to erase the volume but it gives an error message was per my last post. it says :couldn't be unaccounted because it sis in use by process 872"
